Recent Charitable Donations

The Lodge badges that were recently produced meant the Lodge was in a position to be able to present some well deserving Charities with a small donation.

Each of the charities mentioned below, received donations amounting to £100 per charity.

The four charities chosen were all military related. This was because the initial start-up cash for the badges was left over after a visit to St Patrick's Masonic Lodge No 295 (I.C.), in November 2014.

The Charities were:

A donation of 3 easels, and 6 mannequin heads, was also made to the Operation Banner Veterans Museum.
This is to assist them with the display currently under construction. Their online shop, with some limited information, is listed below.

Captain Doug Beattie, M.C., author of “An Ordinary Soldier” and “Task Force Helmand”, kindly gave a talk in November on his life in the Army.

He wished for the money raised to be passed on to the U.D.R. Legacy Book Project Committee.

This sum, namely £420, has been handed over to the Regimental Association of the Ulster Defence Regiment, C.G.C., for the use of the above project.

Our grateful thanks must go out to all those who purchased either badges or attended Capt. Beattie’s talk, for their generosity. A limited number of Lodge badges and forget-me-nots remain for sale.
